Hi Everyone
Now I was a very lucky girl and got this Lush gift box from Toby for my birthday. Now bless him he told me he was completely lost when in the shop but he knew I liked their stuff so he stuck it out and picked this gift box with lots of little thing which most I've never tried.
First lets start off with the packaging. How adorable is it! All the products come in this tin lunch box. It's so cute that I've decided I'll use this to store all future Lush products I get.
So what's inside?
In total you get 7 products which span several categories. I'll list them from left to right
- Each Peach - Massage Bar
- Miranda - Soap
- Sparkle - Toothy Tabs (solid toothpaste)
- Karma Komba - Shampoo Bar
- You've Been Mangoed - Luxury Bath Melt
- The Comforter - Bubble Bar
- Blackberry Bath Bomb
So let me review them 1 by 1
Each Peach Massage Bar
Now I've purchased this twice before getting this gift box and have thoroughly enjoyed it. All you have to do is rub the bar over your body. Your natural body heat helps melt the bar and moisturise your skin leaving it soft and smelling fantastic. It's also nice to use with a partner so lie down and allow them to massage this into your back. It feels amazing!
Miranda Soap
I'm not a block soap kind of girl as I feel they don't lather as well as a shower gel, so you can imagine my shock when this gave a really thick lather. A fruity smell and cute presentation with the "fruit" soap pieces inside make this all the more enjoyable.
Sparkle Toothy Tabs
1 word....ICK! I don't know if it was because it was in this tin with other "soapy products" but it tasted of soap. I didn't taste the mint at all. I love the concept and see how if you were travelling it would be a handy thing to pop into your backpack. I personally will never repurchase.
Karma Komba Shampoo Bar
Now this was a surprise for me as I'm a lover of the normal liquid shampoo. So when giving this a go I wasn't open minded at all, but I was shocked how it actually worked! I had to lather it up alot in my hair but once I had washed it and after conditioned with my usual brand it felt nourished and clean. I can see this being handy if going on a small trip abroad and you can pop it in your bag without worrying about the liquid restrictions.
You've Been Mangoed Bath Melt
I'd only purchased one of these about a month before this gift box and really enjoyed it. I like to chop mine up into around 8 slices to make it last longer and feel 1 slice is more than enough to give the desired effect. Smells like mango as expected, and does leave your skin feeling nourished after your bath
The Comforter Bubble Bar
I think any Lush lover has tried this at least once or are an avid user of this blackcurrant wonder. In the gift box you get a smaller size then if you were to buy it individually but I could break it up easily into 3 baths. just crumble under running water and just watch the magic happen. Plus it turns you bath water a pretty pink.
Bath Bomb
This bath bomb is massive so I split it in half and used it for 2 baths. It turns the water a beautiful lilac colour. The fragrance is meant to be but I felt it was more floral. It wasn't an intense floral smell otherwise I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. So inside this bath bomb is a little surprise I wasn't aware of. I all of a sudden spotted something floating in the water. on closer inspection I saw it was a little piece of paper saying "BOOM BOOM". Do you get it?....bath bomb?...boom? I just thought it was an adorable little touch.
Overall I enjoyed 6/7 products in this gift box so it was definitely a winner. The boy did well :P
I hope you enjoyed my review of this Lush gift box. It's certainly opened my eyes to a couple more products I otherwise would have never tried.
MYBS xxx
